Sahej Chair Yoga classes are geared toward adults who may not be comfortable getting up and down off a mat to do yoga. These one hour classes are done primarily while seated, though sometimes students are invited to get up and use their chairs for support as the class does standing postures. A focus of Sahej Chair Yoga is to develop and increase balance. A combination of gentle range of motion, breathing and flexibility exercises are done during each class. Different body parts are targeted with specific exercises.
Each class ends with a period of guided deep relaxation.
